When you step through the gates of Vila d'Este you are transported to the Italian countryside reminiscent of Tuscany, with facades of mustard and interiors vivid and tastefully designed. The views overseeing Praia do Canto; also in the vein of the Mediterranean, will set the mood for romance and fun. Only after your first caipirinha you will be reminded you are in Brazil! There are several beaches in close walking distance from the pousada, but we recommend renting and keeping a dune buggy for the whole weekend so you can drive to Geriba or Ferradura during the day and then come back to the pousada for dinner to enjoy the Vila's award winning food. Nightlife on Rua das Pedra's (just 5 minutes walk from your room) will top of your nights with dancing and atmosphere that rivals Cancun, Ibiza and St. Tropez. During the Jazz festival and most Brazilian holidays you will find 30 and 40 something's coming up for the weekend. During New Years and Carnaval you will see more mixed crowds with younger people about in large numbers.
